| Question: | A blue screen appears after I install AntiVirusKit 2006 and the computer continually reboots. |
| Response: | This problem is caused by the drivers, which are incompatible with other manufacturers’ firewall products (Kerio, Outpost, Data Becker, Buhl, Agnitum and Symantec). To solve this problem, you must delete two files from the system and install a new version of AntiVirusKit. You can do this as follows: 1. Start the computer in safe mode, by pressing the F8 key several times while the computer is booting up. Select the option “Safe Mode” from the menu. 2. Delete the files “C:WINDOWSsystem32driversGDTdiIcpt.sys” and “C:Program FilesCommon FilesG DATAAVKProxyTdiStub.dll”. (The system directory path may vary.) 3. You can now start your system normally. 4. Please download an appropriately modified version of AntiVirusKit from the following URL: www.gdata.de/filemanager/fileview/1068/ You can only download the new version with a valid registration number: (You can find your software registration number on the back cover of your user manual). 5. Save the file “avk2006_upgrade.exe” onto your Desktop and double-click on the file to run it, then follow the installation instructions. If a message asks you to abort the installation, click “OK” to confirm. The setup has now been run correctly and the incompatibility problem should be solved.
