G Data today announces the appointment of Mike Reed as its International Business Development Manager. Reed’s main task will be to help the brand enter new geographical markets in order to broaden the company’s international focus even further.

Reed, who is based in the Netherlands, has been active in the field of international sales and marketing for over a decade. During this period he has held similar positions at security vendor AVG and multimedia software vendor, Magix.

Reed’s priorities will be finding suitable partners to work with in the Middle East, Africa and Turkey, in addition to building solid local structures from which to do business. He will also be tasked with evolving existing partner relationships. Reed’s ability for successful relationship management and his focus on service and after sales management, will play a major role in this process.

“G Data really appeals to me as an employer, not only because of the high standard of its software solutions, which is obviously a crucial factor in sales, but also because the company offers the perfect combination of stability and international ambition. Only when these two factors co-exist in perfect balance with one another, can a company be successful in making its international expansion dreams a reality. I am looking forward to playing an instrumental part in achieving G Data’s ambitious goals,” said Reed.

Dirk Hochstrate, Managing Director of G Data: “Mike Reed is an expert in international expansion with years of experience in the Middle East and Africa. These markets require a completely different approach compared with European and American markets. Having a trusted colleague that is knowledgeable about these markets is an absolute must for every company with the ambition of setting up shop there. We are pleased that Mike, one of the best in that field, is willing to be that colleague for us.”
