“We are delighted with the certification and, when it comes to the protection sector, it shows that the development of modern technologies such as BEAST and DeepRay pays off. Companies and private individuals are exposed to a high level of cyber risk. Criminals use innovative technologies and sophisticated tricks to infiltrate networks. An up-to-date security solution therefore offers extensive protection against cyber attacks and is absolutely essential on every computer.”

Over a period of time, AV-TEST tested the latest available versions of the security solutions against current threats. The security solutions had to demonstrate their capabilities using every function and level of protection. In the test, each solution faces attack methods such as zero-day malware, drive-by attacks, downloads from websites and attacks via contaminated emails. In these tests, the G DATA solution detected all of the 20,000+ malware strains.

At the same time, experts at the test laboratory evaluated the usability of the protective products. The focus here was on so-called false positives. If websites are being blocked unnecessarily, false alarms can disrupt the workflow just as much as malware attacks. “In recent months, we have concentrated on optimising the usability of our security solutions. We are therefore all the more pleased that G DATA Internet Security achieved full marks here,” added Siebert.
